Bio-tech company controls food?
A short clip I re-edited from the documentary “The World According to Monsanto” A highly recommended documentary. You can view it on youtube here www.youtube.com What the filmmaker and the farmers are discussing here is the issue of patents. Because the bio-tech companies like Monsanto have patents on the GMO’s in the seeds the ownership and “control” of crops is slowly transferring from farmers to Monsanto. What is worse is that many crops pollinate through wind which results in cross-pollination between organic and non-organic crops. What does this mean??? It means that Monsanto can sue organic farmers for violating patent laws which they never intended nor wished to in the first place!!!! This has already happened in Mexico and India where farmers now have no choice but to buy their seeds from Monsanto!!!!! “control food and you control people”- Henry Kissinger (btw sorry about the bad editing, this is my first attempt

David Pearce is an independent researcher and vegan animal activist based in Brighton UK. In 1995, he wrote an online manifesto, The Hedonistic Imperative, advocating the use of biotechnology to abolish suffering throughout the living world. David has also written on the philosophy of mind and perception; utilitarian ethics; psychopharmacology; life extension; cognitive enhancement technologies; mood enrichment; genetic recalibration of the hedonic treadmill; ecosystem redesign; reprogramming predators; and more speculatively on a posthuman future based on paradise engineering. In 1998, David and Nick Bostrom set up the World Transhumanist Association (now rebranded as Humanity +.
